[B] Scope of Service:

Vendor needs to provide data center integration services to the government authority located in Los Angeles, CA.
- Kick-off / Planning Phase
1. Participate in an initial kick-off meeting with the goals of; introducing the project team, providing an overview of relevant Port systems, project accomplishments and history to-date, and to establish next steps
2. Collaborate with the Port project manager and NOC team to develop an integrated Project Schedule/Work Plan. This consolidated plan will be integrated with the proposed timeline from the RFP response
3. Collaborate with the Port NOC team to develop a virtual machine (VM) Migration Plan
4. Collaborate with the Port NOC team to develop a Test Plan. The Test Plan should address equipment smoke & redundancy testing, system validation, migration process validation, verification of migrated VMs and UAT.
- Design Phase
1. Collaborate with the Port NOC team to finalize and document a Solution Design in the form of a Technical Architecture Document (TAD)
a. The selected partner will be responsible for drafting and iterating the document regarding the design of the system, redline the TAD and then update it as an “As-built” document. The draft TAD will need to be reviewed by the NOC, Business Analysis (BA), and Security Operations Center (SOC) teams. There will likely be several iterations of the document before it is finalized. Appropriate time (approximately 1 month) needs to be set in the schedule for development and approval of the TAD.
- Build / Implementation Phase
Services to be performed at vendor staging site/lab
1. Receive, unpack and inventory all equipment. Insure that the packing slip(s) agree with the received equipment. Cross check the received inventory with the BOM, and forward the packing slips to the Port project manager
2. Perform quality assurance inspection(s) to identify equipment damaged during shipping
3. Perform RMA (if and when needed)
4. Inventory and record hardware serial numbers. Forward the inventory to the POLB Project Manager
5. Attach asset tags to new equipment based on the standardized and documented process provided by the POLB (The port PM will provide the vendor with asset tags).
6. Segregate and assign equipment to target sites according to drawings provided by POLB NOC staff
7. Standup equipment, connect to power, cable and perform smoke testing
8. Create initial configuration for Core (Catalyst) and Management switches
9. Perform layer 1 compute hardware installations
10. Validate layer 1 connections; router, Fabric Interconnects, chassis, and all terminating points
11. Perform pre-installation testing and base configuration
12. Perform Cisco recommended system update(s) following best practices. Prior to completion the list of recommended updates should be reviewed with, and validated by Port NOC staff
13. Perform Cisco recommended firmware and BIOS upgrades
14. Perform all required Cisco software loads including vCenter
15. Create initial Fabric Interconnect configurations.
